Hi,

When i activate the compressed header on a news server i have the following error :

Unexpected response (440): [admin not allowed] (440)

The feed correctly update after i remove compressed header option.

Don't know why because the server support the compression :

Code:
211 13924402 53561495 67485896 alt.binaries.series.tv.french
xover 67485895 67485896
224 xover information follows
67485895        (Demander Par Ric) Terre Humaine - Saison 1 - DVD 5 De 5 NTSC DVDR (24/96) "Terre Humaine - Saison 1 - DVD 5 De 5.part023.rar" - 4.26 GB - yEnc (111/131)       titegenouille <titegenouille1933@hotmail.com>   02 May 2011 11:42:37 GMT        <SeTOeY0hsEEB2flv1ufO1@JBinUp.local>            398677  3062   Xref: number.nntp.dca.giganews.com alt.binaries.series.tv.french:67485895

any idea to what the problem could be ?

Currently URD only supports xzver for compressed headers.  IIRC this is only implemented by astraweb. But there are other versions of compressed headers around too which URD doesn't support.

There is no easy way. AFAIK the only way is to log in to the newsserver by console:
Code:
nc newsserver 119
help
It should show xzver in the list of commands
