I have just successfully installed URD but this could be a deal breaker for me. I can't sit up till 2:00am in the morning to start downloads and I can't leave it to download during the day. Is there any way of scheduling when downloads start and stop?

Thanks Ben

You can at least schedule a download to start at a certain time ("Run at") when you have selected the set for download.

Then I guess you can either manually pause it in the morning if not finished, or kill the urd daemon from cron tab Wink You can also start it from cron, and if you have checked the setting to resume jobs after crashes it should continue when it starts up. Less than ideal perhaps though.

A somewhat nicer way would be to have a cron job that adds/remove iptables rules to allow/disallow access to the news server at certain times.

Without knowing for sure, it doesn't sound too complicated to add a global native setting for when urdd is allowed to use the network. If it's not already there it will probably get added eventually.

Do not worry, your deal is not broken.

If you select a file for downloading, it gets added to some sort of 'download basket' at the top of the screen. At the bottom are several buttons, that allow you to download the file, download the NZB for that file, clear the basket or... schedule the file for downloading at a later time.

"Run at: [         ]"

If you enter an english text there (see the strtotime function for details), it will then start the download at that time.

Examples:
* +1 hour
* next sunday
* 15 april
